Someshwar. The campus of Hukum Singh Bora Government Post Graduate College, Someshwar, was filled with patriotic fervour on the eve of Independence Day. Under the guidance of Principal Prof. Avinendra Kumar Joshi, various programmes were organised at the college.
The Rover-Ranger Unit organised a poster competition on the theme “Har Ghar Tiranga”. Students including Lalita, Komal, Kanchan, Priya, Muskan, Anjali, Kumkum, Mamta, Saloni, Deepa, Uma, Tina, Megha, Pooja, Nisha, Pratibha and Jaya participated enthusiastically. Through colourful and creative posters, the students expressed their respect for the national flag and their spirit of patriotism.
On the occasion of “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day,” the History Department also organised a screening of a poignant short film. A large number of students attended the screening. The film introduced them to the painful chapter of the Partition and conveyed a strong message of national unity, integrity and communal harmony.
Dr. Kamla Dhaulakhandi, Dr. C.P. Verma, Dr. Kanchan, Dr. Indu, Rover Leader Neeraj Singh Pangti, Ranger Leader Himadri Arya, Dr. Vipin Chandra, Dr. Harsha Rawat and other faculty members were present on the occasion.
