Almora: Sah-Chaudhary Samaj Almora organized its monthly meeting on May 17, 2026, at the auditorium of Kundan Lal Sah Memorial Hall located in Thana Bazaar, Almora. The meeting witnessed the participation of several prominent members of the community, where discussions were held on educational encouragement, social welfare activities, and upcoming cultural programs.
Members present during the meeting included Deep Lal Sah, Sundar Datt Chaudhary, Prabhat Lal Sah, Dinesh Chandra Sah, Rajendra Lal Sah, Pawan Sah, Er. Siddharth Sah, Brajesh Sah, Anoop Sah, Prabhat Chaudhary, Harshvardhan Chaudhary, Anil Sah, Colonel Jagmohan Sah, Sudarshan Lal Sah, Vinod Sah, and other community representatives.
One of the major agendas of the meeting was the felicitation of meritorious students belonging to the community. It was unanimously decided that only those students who submit applications and fulfill all prescribed eligibility criteria would be honored by the organization.
The members emphasized that encouraging talented students is essential for the educational and social progress of the community. It was further decided that if the number of eligible meritorious students exceeds five, they would be felicitated collectively during the proposed Holo Mahotsav 2027. No separate program would be organized for this purpose.
Another important decision taken during the meeting was that the parents of meritorious students residing in Almora or nearby areas would also be honored during the ceremony. Members stated that parents play a vital role in the success and achievements of students and deserve equal recognition.
The executive committee was also authorized to honor meritorious students residing outside the region under special circumstances if deemed appropriate.
During the meeting, members also resolved to honor Justice Siddharth Sah, who is currently serving in the High Court at Nainital. The participants said that honoring distinguished personalities from the community would inspire the younger generation.
In another significant decision, the organization resolved to felicitate senior citizens of the community who have completed 85 years of age. Speakers at the meeting highlighted the importance of respecting elders and preserving social and cultural traditions through such initiatives.
The members also discussed the proposed Holi Milan समारोह scheduled for 2027. It was decided that all programs mentioned in proposals serial numbers 1 to 5 would be organized as planned.
At the end of the meeting, all members reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening unity within the community and promoting educational, cultural, and social values through collective participation and cooperation.
