Condolence meeting held in Almora; journalists pay tribute and observe two-minute silence
Almora. The sudden demise of Nainital District Information Officer Girija Shankar Joshi has cast a pall of grief over the journalistic fraternity in Almora. Journalists expressed deep sorrow over his untimely death and remembered him as a cordial, dedicated and cooperative officer.
A condolence meeting was organized by journalists in Almora on Monday. The participants observed a two-minute silence and prayed for peace to the departed soul. They also prayed to God to give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Journalists said that Girija Shankar Joshi was known for his friendly nature, dedication towards his duties and cooperative approach. His interactions with members of the media were always cordial and supportive. His untimely demise is being seen as an irreparable loss to the Information Department as well as the journalistic community.
