Congress aspirant for Someshwar Assembly constituency interacts with villagers in Paner and Thapla
Someshwar/Almora. Dr. Ajaypal, who is seeking a Congress ticket from the Someshwar Assembly constituency, conducted an extensive public outreach campaign in several villages of Takula block on Sunday. During the visit, he interacted with villagers, listened to their concerns and discussed the difficulties they face in their daily lives.
At a ‘Jan Milan’ programme in Paner village, residents raised concerns over the lack of basic infrastructure and alleged neglect of the area. The villagers said that despite BJP MLA Rekha Arya representing the Someshwar constituency for three consecutive terms, Paner continues to face difficulties related to basic facilities.
The villagers particularly highlighted the absence of a proper paved road to the village. They said the lack of adequate road connectivity has created difficulties in transportation and other day-to-day activities.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ajaypal said that if a village still lacks a basic facility such as a proper road despite several years of political representation and governance, it raises questions about the functioning of the administration and elected representatives.
He assured the villagers that he was committed to the overall development of the Someshwar Assembly constituency and to finding lasting solutions to the problems of Paner and other neglected villages.
Dr. Ajaypal also held a public interaction meeting in Thapla village and listened to the concerns of residents. He assured them of efforts towards resolving their issues. During the programme, a large number of villagers joined the Congress party.
Former state minister Rajendra Barakoti, Takula Block Congress president Bahadur Singh Mehta, Mahila Morcha president Hema Bhandari, Youth Morcha president Deepak Singh Bohra, along with Shankar Singh Rawat, Sunil Barakoti, Rajendra Prasad Tamta and Dinesh Pilkhwal, among others, were present on the occasion.
