Almora – District Magistrate Alok Kumar Pandey conducted an on-site inspection of the old age home being constructed under the Social Welfare Department. During the visit, he closely reviewed the progress and quality of the ongoing construction work and issued necessary directives.
The District Magistrate strictly instructed the construction agency to ensure quality standards are maintained and emphasized that no compromise should be made on construction materials. He stated that the work must be completed in accordance with prescribed norms and specifications.
He also inspected the road leading to the old age home, pointing out deficiencies in road cutting and directed that these be rectified at the earliest. He mentioned that this road is not only important for the old age home but is also crucial for the new building of Mangaldeep School, which caters to children with disabilities, located nearby.
Mr. Pandey directed officials to complete all construction work within the stipulated time frame, so that the elderly can start availing the facilities at the earliest. He highlighted that the construction of this old age home is a significant social project for Almora district and will benefit senior citizens in the long run.
Present during the inspection were Chief Development Officer Divesh Shasni, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sanjay Kumar, District Social Welfare Officer Aradhana Tripathi, and other concerned officials and engineers.
