Almora:
A long-standing water leakage issue in Johri Bazaar, Almora, has finally been resolved, bringing relief to local residents and traders. For months, leakage from the Jal Sansthan pipeline had been causing water to overflow onto the roads, creating persistent mud and unhygienic conditions. This not only inconvenienced pedestrians but also hampered commercial activity in the busy market area.
Taking the matter seriously, Ward Councillor Anju Bisht brought the issue to the attention of Jal Sansthan officials. She urged Junior Engineer Mahendra Singh Bisht to conduct an on-site inspection and ensure prompt action.
Thanks to the councillor’s initiative and the swift response from the Jal Sansthan, the problem was addressed without delay. A chamber was constructed at the leakage site under the supervision of JE Mahendra Singh Bisht. The new structure now directs the leaked water through a proper drainage route, eliminating the waterlogging and muddy conditions in the market.
The timely intervention has brought much-needed relief to local shopkeepers and residents. They expressed their gratitude to Councillor Anju Bisht and Engineer Mahendra Singh Bisht, stating that such sensitivity and promptness by departments can help resolve many civic issues efficiently.
Councillor Anju Bisht reaffirmed her commitment to resolving public concerns, stating that she remains dedicated to addressing issues on a priority basis by coordinating with relevant departments.
