Councillor Amit Sah Monu Leads Swift Action, Snake Safely Released into Forest
Almora: Panic spread in the Paniyudiyar Ward of Almora when a venomous Russell’s Viper entered the residence of local resident Naveen Chandra Tiwari. Upon spotting the snake, the house owner immediately informed Ward Councillor Amit Sah Monu, who responded promptly to the situation.
Councillor Amit Sah Monu contacted QRT (Quick Response Team) In-charge of the Forest Department, Satyendra Singh Negi. Soon after, Councillor Monu, accompanied by Councillor Abhishek Joshi, QRT workers Neeraj Negi and Manoj Joshi, reached the spot and successfully rescued the snake. It was safely released into a nearby forested area.
It is noteworthy that Councillor Amit Sah Monu has been actively involved in various social services for several years. He has rescued and released hundreds of snakes from residential areas in the past and is known to be the first point of contact for residents in such situations.
People of the area appreciate his cheerful and helpful nature, which has earned him a strong reputation and wide popularity. During monsoon-related disasters, medical emergencies requiring blood donation, service to stray cattle, and wildlife rescues, Amit Sah Monu and his close associates Arjun Bisht and Abhishek Joshi are always seen at the forefront.
