Almora. A team from the Ministry of Education, Government of India, conducted an on-site inspection of PM–Shri Atal Uttariy Government Inter College, Almora. The inspection team was led by Senior IAS Officer and Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Education, Government of India, Ms. Ira Singhal.
Upon arrival at the school, Principal Rajesh Bisht accorded a warm welcome to the team by presenting a bouquet and a memento. NCC cadets also extended the Guard of Honour to the inspection team.
Ms. Singhal first observed the morning assembly activities and interacted with the students, learning about their interests and future aspirations. She then examined the physical and academic developments undertaken in the institution under the PM–Shri Scheme.
During the inspection, the team closely reviewed the Atal Tinkering Lab, library, TLM Park, Eco Club, vermi-compost unit, sanitation facilities, drinking water arrangements, rainwater harvesting system, science laboratory, IT lab, mathematics lab, career counseling cell, alumni meet activities, health camps, examination results, teachers’ diaries, 3D selfie point, and overall cleanliness of the school premises. The team also visited classrooms and took note of teaching–learning activities.
Appreciating the efforts made by the school in the best interest of students, Ms. Singhal conveyed her remarks and well wishes in the visitor’s register and expressed hope for the school’s continuous progress in the future.
The inspection team included D.D. Sharma (Deputy Commissioner, Patna Division) and Barkha Chaurasia (State Coordinator, Ministry of Education). Present during the inspection were Chief Education Officer Atresh Sayana, District Education Officer (Secondary) Chandan Singh Bisht, Block Education Officer Dr. Ravi Mehta, District Coordinators Pradeep Bisht and Neeraj Joshi along with the entire teaching and non-teaching staff including Dr. Govind Singh Rawat, Deepak Pandey, Tarun Jaida (NCC In-charge), Chandan Singh Rawat (NSS In-charge), Lalit Prakash, Madan Bhandari, Dr. Lalit Jalal, Jagdish Pandey, Harish Chandra Bhatt, Raina Adhikari, Ashutosh Sah, Rajendra Rawat, Ranjana Joshi, Hema Pant, Geeta Mehra, Mayank Tiwari, R.P. Pant, Rita Joshi, Vijay Prakash, and Neeraj Tiwari.
