Night Patrol Begins, Cameras to Be Installed Soon

Panic has gripped the local residents following repeated sightings of a tiger in the area. Responding to the growing fear and concerns, Municipal Councillor Anju Bisht took the matter seriously and reached out to the Forest Department on Saturday, urging immediate action. Acting swiftly, the forest officials conducted a site inspection and initiated patrolling operations the same evening.
Forest Beat Officer Vivek Tiwari, along with Forest Inspector Amit Singh Bhaisoda, arrived at the location around 7:30 PM and began patrolling the tiger-affected zones. Councillor Anju Bisht, social worker Rakesh Bisht, Rajendra Joshi, and several concerned local residents accompanied the officials during the inspection.
According to residents, the tiger has been spotted multiple times in close proximity to residential areas over the past few days. There have also been reports of attacks on domestic animals, causing widespread fear among the public. Families have been advised to keep children and elderly members indoors, especially during early mornings and late evenings.
Forest officials have assured that CCTV and trap cameras will be installed soon to monitor the tiger’s movements and identify its range. They emphasized that continuous patrolling will be carried out and all necessary measures will be taken to ensure public safety.
Councillor Anju Bisht appreciated the Forest Department’s prompt response and affirmed her commitment to closely monitor the situation. She also appealed to residents not to panic, but to remain alert and immediately report any unusual sightings or incidents.
Meanwhile, the Forest Department has issued a public advisory warning residents to avoid venturing out at night and to stay vigilant. The situation remains tense, but authorities are taking all possible steps to ensure the safety of the community.
