Bhagwat narrator Manoj Krishna Joshi delivers emotional narration in Kumaoni language

The ongoing Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at the ancient Ratkot Temple in Manan Pathariya entered its fifth day with great spiritual fervor. Katha Vyas Manoj Krishna Joshi delivered the sacred narration entirely in Kumaoni language, captivating the audience with vivid depictions of Lord Krishna’s childhood pastimes, Rasleela, and the significance of chanting the Lord’s name in Kaliyug.
The day’s discourse included soul-touching renditions of divine episodes such as Putana Vadh (slaying of the demoness Putana), playful mischiefs with Yashoda, stealing butter, taming of Kaliya the serpent, and Krishna’s love for the cowherds of Vrindavan. The narrator emphasized that in Kaliyug, liberation can be attained solely through the chanting of Lord Hari’s name.
He elaborated on the Rasleela, highlighting the divine love between Lord Krishna and the Gopis. The invitation from King Kansa to Krishna and his journey to Mathura with Balram was also recounted in an engaging manner. Several devotional bhajans were sung during the session, filling the atmosphere with devotion and emotion.
Shri Rajan Pandey is serving as the main host (Yajman) of the event. Temple Committee President Shri Ashutosh Pandey informed that the Purnahuti (culmination of the ritual) will take place on July 23, 2025. Shri Jeevan Upreti, Mohan Upreti, Ranjeet Singh Adhikari, and others are actively supporting the arrangements.
Devotees have been arriving in large numbers daily to immerse themselves in the divine experience. The temple premises have been beautifully decorated, and all facilities are being managed efficiently.
