Senior Journalist Nirmal Upreti’s Father Bal Krishna Upreti Passes Away

Almora – Bal Krishna Upreti, father of senior journalist Nirmal Upreti, passed away on Wednesday evening at the age of 95. He breathed his last at his residence located in Kapina Mohalla, Karnataka Khola, in the town.

The late Bal Krishna Upreti retired in 1996 as a Senior Administrative Officer from the Forest Department. According to family sources, he passed away around 8:30 PM on Wednesday at his home. He is survived by three sons, one daughter, and a large extended family.

His funeral procession will begin on Thursday, August 21, at 10:00 AM from his residence in Kapina Mohalla, Karnataka Khola, and proceed to the Vishwanath Ghat, where the last rites will be performed.

Several individuals from the journalistic community, as well as political and social organizations, have expressed deep sorrow at his passing and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
