Someshwar. A one-day workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was successfully organized at Government Post Graduate College, Someshwar. The event was jointly conducted under the auspices of the college’s Intellectual Property Rights Cell (IPR Cell) and UCOST, Dehradun.
The workshop was held under the patronage of the college principal, Prof. A. K. Joshi. Renowned educationist and IPR expert Dr. Rakesh Pandey participated as the chief speaker and delivered an insightful lecture on the importance of intellectual property rights. He emphasized that intellectual property is the legal protection of an individual’s creative and intellectual efforts, and awareness about it is essential in today’s era.
The workshop convenor, Prof. Kamla Dhaulakhandi Bhardwaj, presented the theme and underlined the need for IPR knowledge in the current academic and research-oriented environment. Organizing Secretary Mr. Neeraj Singh Pangti welcomed all participants and introduced the chief guest.
Faculty members, staff, and teachers from various schools of the region actively participated in the workshop. From the Takula Block, teachers including Mr. Dinesh Chandra Tiwari, Bhupendra Bagadwal, Rajni Bisht, Girish Prasad, Pushpa Tamta, Hema Joshi, and others marked their presence.
The programme was conducted by Dr. Bhavana. Several faculty members and research scholars, including Dr. Vipin, Dr. C. P. Verma, Dr. Kanchan Verma, Dr. Pushpa Bhatt, were also present.
In the concluding session, Principal Prof. A. K. Joshi appreciated the initiative, emphasizing the importance of organizing such academic activities for the intellectual and research-oriented development of students. He extended his gratitude to all participants and organizers.
