District Legal Services Authority, Almora appeals—Applications can be filed till one working day before the Adalat
Almora. The National Lok Adalat is set to be organized on 13 December 2025 across all courts of district Almora. On this occasion, various cases will be settled through mutual compromise. The Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Almora, Ms. Shachi Sharma, has appealed to litigants and the general public to take advantage of this opportunity. She informed that anyone wishing to settle their case through the National Lok Adalat may apply in the concerned court—either personally or through their advocate—till one working day prior to the scheduled date.
Ms. Sharma stated that only those cases are listed in the National Lok Adalat which can be legally settled on the basis of compromise. One major benefit of the Lok Adalat is that if court fees have already been paid and the case is settled in the Lok Adalat, the entire amount of the deposited court fees is refunded to the litigant.
