Almora: Vice Chairman of the Uttarakhand Government Media Advisory Committee ध्रुव रौतेला visited Almora on Wednesday and interacted with journalists during a press conference held at सर्किट हाउस अल्मोड़ा. Addressing media representatives, he emphasized the important role of the media in effectively communicating government schemes, policies, and achievements to the public. He said that in a democracy, the media acts as a strong bridge between the government and the people.
During the interaction, Dhruv Rautela stated that the state government is working with transparency, public welfare, and development as its top priorities. He said that factual and accurate dissemination of information regarding public welfare schemes is essential, and the media has a significant responsibility in ensuring that people receive authentic information.
He stressed the need for better coordination and positive communication between the government and media organizations. According to him, constructive journalism and responsible reporting can help strengthen democratic values and increase public awareness about government initiatives.
Rautela also listened carefully to the concerns and suggestions raised by journalists during the press conference. He assured them that the government would take necessary initiatives at the administrative level to address issues related to journalists and media professionals. He described journalists as strong pillars of democracy whose welfare and professional interests must be protected.
He further said that in the era of digital media and fast information exchange, responsible journalism has become even more important. He urged journalists to continue working with commitment and integrity in the larger interest of society.
On this occasion, District Information Officer सत्यपाल सिंह and several journalists and media representatives from the district were present. Media personnel also shared their views and highlighted various issues related to regional journalism.
After the press conference, Dhruv Rautela inspected the District Information Office in Almora. District Information Officer Satyapal Singh welcomed him and briefed him about departmental activities, office staff, media representatives of the district, and newspapers and magazines published from the region.
During the inspection, Rautela reviewed publicity and communication-related activities, distribution of promotional materials, and issues concerning journalists. He stated that effective publicity of government schemes, policies, and achievements is an important responsibility of the Information Department.
He instructed officials and employees to work with dedication and responsibility and act as a strong link between the administration and the press. He expressed hope that improved coordination between the media and the government would help public welfare schemes reach a larger number of people and further strengthen developmental initiatives in the state.
