Raising concerns over persistent civic issues plaguing the town, all councilors of the Almora Municipal Corporation met the Mayor on Friday and submitted a four-point demand letter. The councilors emphasized that citizens are grappling with several ground-level problems that require urgent redressal.
The four primary issues highlighted by the councilors include the menace of monkeys in urban areas, stray cattle disrupting traffic, the poor condition of roads, and the vacant post of Municipal Commissioner/Joint Commissioner. The councilors stressed that these issues directly impact public safety, traffic regulation, sanitation, and administrative efficiency.
Monkey Menace Escalates
The growing population of monkeys in the town has become a serious threat to public safety. The councilors urged the Mayor to immediately initiate a tender process to capture and relocate the monkeys, providing much-needed relief to the citizens.
Stray Animals Disrupt Traffic

Dilapidated Roads Frustrate Residents
