Participants pledge to protect nature and build a greener future

The Almora Sub-Service Centre of the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya organised a tree plantation programme at Vinod Vatika, Chauhan Pata, to promote environmental conservation and sustainable development. Various species of saplings were planted, and participants pledged to contribute towards a greener and cleaner future.
Addressing the gathering, Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Neelam Didi, In-charge of the Kumaon Region, said that nature is a priceless gift of God and protecting it is the moral responsibility of every citizen. She stressed that planting trees alone is not enough; their proper care and preservation are equally important for ensuring ecological balance.
Former MLA Kailash Sharma appreciated the organisation’s efforts in creating environmental awareness and promoting social service. He described tree plantation as one of the most important responsibilities of the present time and urged people to actively participate in such initiatives.
The programme was attended by Dr. J.C. Durgapal, Dr. Vasudha Pant, Dr. Usha Upreti, BK Hemendra Joshi, Rajni Pant, Ajay Tiwari, Amar Singh, Hemant Pandey, Vandana Pandey, Savitri, Neeru Joshi, Kamla Dhapola and several members of the Brahma Kumaris family. The event concluded with a collective pledge to protect nature and inspire society towards environmental responsibility.
