A long-standing concern over a damaged and dilapidated electricity pole in the area was addressed following the intervention of Councillor Anju Bisht. Taking the issue seriously, the Electricity Department responded promptly and carried out necessary repair work on the damaged pole, providing relief to local residents.
Residents had expressed concern over the poor condition of the electricity pole, which was considered a potential safety risk. The matter was brought to the attention of Councillor Anju Bisht, who immediately took up the issue with officials of the Electricity Department and requested urgent action.
Following the councillor’s intervention, the department took immediate cognizance of the matter and repaired the damaged and dilapidated pole. The prompt action has provided relief to residents who had been concerned about the possibility of an accident.
Officials of the Electricity Department also assured the residents that the existing pole would eventually be replaced with a new one. According to the assurance given by the department, new electricity poles are expected to become available within the next two to three months, after which a new pole will be installed at the location.
Executive Engineer Kanhaiya Mishra assured the residents that the department would take the necessary steps to improve electrical safety and ensure proper maintenance of the power infrastructure in the area.
Social worker Rakesh Bisht, Uma Bisht, Advocate Dipanshu Pandey, Pawan Bisht, Jaivardhan Bhatt and several other local residents were present on the occasion. The residents appreciated the efforts of Councillor Anju Bisht for raising the issue with the department and ensuring that immediate action was taken.
The councillor and local residents expressed their gratitude to Executive Engineer Kanhaiya Mishra and the Electricity Department officials and staff for responding promptly to the public concern.
Residents said that timely coordination between elected representatives and government departments can help resolve local problems effectively. They also requested the Electricity Department to inspect other old and damaged electricity poles in the area and undertake repairs or replacement wherever necessary.
With the damaged pole now repaired and an assurance for its replacement with a new pole in the coming months, residents expressed hope that the area’s electrical infrastructure would become safer and more reliable.
