On the seventh day of the camp, June 15, 2026, a special career guidance lecture was organized for the cadets. The session aimed to provide valuable insights into various career opportunities available in the Indian Armed Forces and motivate young cadets to pursue careers in national service.
Medical Officer Major Pushpal Chakravarty from the Army Recruitment Office (ARO), Almora, addressed the cadets and explained the numerous opportunities available in the Medical Branch of the Indian Army. He elaborated on eligibility criteria, recruitment procedures, training requirements, and career growth prospects in military medical services.
Major Chakravarty emphasized that the Army Medical Services offer rewarding careers not only for doctors but also for nursing professionals, paramedical staff, and technical experts. He encouraged cadets to explore these opportunities while contributing to the nation’s healthcare and defense sectors.

Apart from career guidance sessions, cadets actively participated in a wide range of military and personality development activities. The drill sessions helped instill discipline, coordination, leadership qualities, and teamwork among the cadets. During rifle training, participants learned safe weapon handling practices, marksmanship fundamentals, and range safety procedures.
A major attraction of the camp was the drone training module. Yoga and physical training sessions formed an integral part of the daily schedule. These activities focused on improving stamina, mental concentration, flexibility, and overall fitness while promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Camp authorities stated that the primary objective of the NCC training programme is to develop leadership qualities, discipline, patriotism, social responsibility, and confidence among young citizens.
