Almora. The General Body of the District Bar Association Almora has constituted an Election Steering Committee to conduct the upcoming association elections in an efficient and transparent manner. The following advocates have been unanimously appointed as members of the committee:
1. Pankaj Latwal, Advocate – Chief Coordinator, Election Committee
2. Amita Chaudhary, Advocate – Member
3. Murli Manohar Bhatt, Advocate – Member
4. Aijaz Ansari, Advocate – Member
5. Rohit Karki, Advocate – Member
6. Debashish Negi, Advocate – Member
In a communication addressed to the Chief Coordinator Pankaj Latwal, Advocate, Secretary of the District Bar Association Almora Deep Chandra Joshi informed that the election process must be completed within a maximum period of 21 days from 21 November 2025.
It has been directed that the voter list be obtained from the Treasurer of the Bar Association, Shri Rohit Bisht, Advocate, and the necessary election proceedings be initiated accordingly. For conducting the election, the present Executive Committee will provide an amount of ₹25,000 (Twenty-Five Thousand Only) to the Election Committee.
Additionally, it has been emphasized that the elections must be held strictly as per the existing constitution of the District Bar Association Almora.
Secretary Deep Chandra Joshi expressed confidence that the election process will be conducted impartially, transparently, and within the stipulated timeline.
