21-Day Jute Bag Training Program Concludes Successfully

The 21-day jute bag training program, organized by Lok Chetna Vikas Samiti and sponsored by the District Industries Center, Almora, concluded successfully. The training was conducted at the committee’s Jute Training Center located in Dharanila Rajpur, Almora, where a total of twenty-five women trainees actively participated.

The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of special guests—Vice Chairperson of Uttarakhand State Women Entrepreneurship Council, Ganga Bisht; Assistant Manager of District Industries Center, Mohit Joshi; Chairperson of Lok Chetna Vikas Samiti, Dr. Kumud Chauhan; and Secretary of the committee and social scientist, Rajendra Singh Bisht.

In addition to the trainees, representatives from various women self-help groups associated with jute bag manufacturing also participated in the event.

Addressing the gathering, Ganga Bisht shared detailed information about various government schemes related to women welfare and entrepreneurship in Uttarakhand. She encouraged the trainees to take full advantage of these schemes and move forward towards self-reliance.

Chairperson of Lok Chetna Vikas Samiti, Dr. Kumud Chauhan, presented a future development model based on group participation, aimed at promoting the manufacturing of jute bags and related products in Almora with the support of trained women. She emphasized that such initiatives will continue to empower women and strengthen their livelihood opportunities.

Committee Secretary and social scientist Rajendra Singh Bisht expressed heartfelt gratitude to all guests, trainees, trainers, and the entire team of Lok Chetna Vikas Samiti for making the program a grand success.

This 21-day training initiative has proven to be an important step toward skill development, employment generation, and promoting entrepreneurship among the women of Almora district.

Certificates were distributed to all trainees upon completion of the training. The event highlighted the essence of women empowerment, self-sufficiency, and the promotion of local industry.
