Almora. Ajay Kumar, State Organization General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Uttarakhand, addressed a meeting of BJP workers today at the local Circuit House. During his address, he appreciated the inspiring initiative taken by the Aipan groups to promote local trade, traditional culture, and historical heritage through social media under the Local for Vocal campaign.
Ajay Kumar emphasized that it is the duty of every citizen to promote their roots, culture, and local products on national and global platforms. He said that in the digital age, social media has emerged as a powerful medium that can help bring new identity and recognition to Almora’s art, culture, and historic sites.
“Promote Almora’s historical sites through social media to boost tourism”
He urged workers by saying —
“Promote Almora’s historical sites through social media so that the tourism sector can gain new momentum.”
He added that Almora’s identity lies in its rich cultural heritage, historical monuments, and natural beauty. If these sites are promoted using engaging content, it will not only boost tourism but also create new opportunities for local youth, artists, and traders.
Social responsibilities are as important as political activities
In his address, he further said —
“We remain active in political programs, but social activities must be given equal importance. Lasting solutions to societal issues are possible only when we sincerely fulfill our social responsibilities alongside political work.”
Ajay Kumar added that effective use of social media can bring Almora’s historical town into national and international focus.

Before the program, party workers accorded a warm welcome to Ajay Kumar at the Circuit House. The enthusiasm and energy of the workers created a positive atmosphere throughout the venue.
