Literature-Adab Trust honours talented students and distinguished women at Almora event
Almora. The Literature-Adab Trust (India), Almora, organised a grand event under its initiative ‘Sapno Ko Pankh’ at Adams Auditorium on September 15, 2026. Meritorious students selected under the initiative were presented with recognition kits and certificates. Distinguished women who have made notable contributions in different fields were also honoured during the programme.
The women felicitated on the occasion included social worker Meeta Upadhyay, Principal Jyotsna Lal, Meenu Sangeeta Singh, Councillor Vandana Verma, blogger Preeti Sah, banker Shweta Upadhyay, singer Poonam Pathak and sportsperson Heera Kanwal, among others.
An inspirational motivational song was presented for the students during the programme. Dr. Deepa Gupta, President of the Literature-Adab Trust, delivered a special lecture on the theme ‘Silence’ (Maun). Her address encouraged the audience to reflect on the importance of silence, introspection and understanding oneself in everyday life.
The chief guest was Thakur Sandeep Singh, Chairman of Maa Ambe Institute of Nursing. The programme was presided over by Gajendra Singh Bisht, Patron of Shri Bhaktidham Trust, Naukuchiatal, Nainital. Former Almora Municipal Chairperson Prakash Joshi and former Director of Mahadevi Srijanpeeth, Nainital, Prof. Dev Singh Pokhariya, attended the event as distinguished guests and encouraged the students and award recipients.
The programme also received the presence and support of several distinguished personalities, including Arvind Kumar, Ramesh, Aman Saini, Dr. J.C. Durgapal, Prof. Aradhana Shukla, Bhushan Pandey, Deepak Joshi, Divya Joshi and Shagufta Ansari from Shri Bhaktidham Ashram, Naukuchiatal.
Dr. Deepa Gupta said that ‘Sapno Ko Pankh’ is not merely an award programme, but a commitment to identify the dreams and potential of talented students and stand with them throughout their journey towards their goals. She encouraged the students to remain focused on their objectives and assured them of continued support.
The programme concluded with Manoj Gupta expressing gratitude to all the guests, students, parents and supporters. The event provided encouragement to young talents while also recognising the valuable contributions of women working in diverse fields.
