Almora. In a public welfare initiative aimed at providing clean and cool drinking water to residents and visitors, a new water cooler has been installed near Jeevan Jyoti Hospital in Sailakhola Ward. The facility was formally inaugurated by Municipal Commissioner Seema Vishwakarma, who attended the programme as the chief guest.
The water cooler has been established through the efforts of Sailakhola Ward Councillor Bandana Verma. The initiative is expected to benefit local residents as well as pedestrians, shopkeepers, hospital visitors, patients’ attendants and other citizens who pass through the area.
The inauguration programme witnessed the participation of a large number of local residents, including senior citizens, women and other members of the community. Residents appreciated the initiative and thanked Councillor Bandana Verma for taking steps towards improving basic public facilities in the ward.
Speaking on the occasion, Municipal Commissioner Seema Vishwakarma highlighted the importance of public drinking-water facilities in urban areas.
