Dehradun: Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and veteran politician Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri passed away, triggering a wave of grief across the state. Political leaders, social organizations, and supporters expressed deep sorrow and paid tribute to the senior leader.
Khanduri was widely respected for his simplicity, honesty, and disciplined leadership. During his tenure as Chief Minister, he played a significant role in promoting development projects and strengthening administrative reforms in Uttarakhand. He was regarded as a clean and people-centric leader.
He was also the father of current Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker Ritu Bhushan Khanduri. A condolence message was issued from the Speaker’s office, describing his demise as an irreparable loss for the state.
