Almora: Compassion, kindness, love, knowledge and a spirit of selfless service are the true qualities that define a human being. Serving the needy with sincerity, without any display or expectation, is the true worship of God. These views were expressed by Naipal Singh, Central Head of Spiritual Knowledge Propagation of the Sant Nirankari Mission, while addressing a Sant Samagam organised under the aegis of the Mission.

Speaking at the programme held at Ramje Inter College, Naipal Singh said that a true Guru instils divine virtues in devotees and becomes the ladder that leads them towards the realisation of God. He emphasised that merely being human in physical form is not important; rather, it is essential to be enriched with the values of humanity. Compassion, love, knowledge and education are the qualities that distinguish human beings from other living creatures.

He stated that the core message of the Sant Samagam is humanity, love and brotherhood. Highlighting the present global scenario, he said that the world today needs humanity, peace and mutual harmony more than ever, and this can be achieved only through the realisation of the Supreme Being.

Mission preacher Chaudhary also addressed the gathering and urged people to understand their true existence and move towards spiritual completeness. He said that the soul is a part of the Supreme Soul (God), and therefore every living being—whether human or otherwise—contains a divine element or power. True love, harmony and goodwill enter a person’s life only when one realises the Supreme Father, the Almighty.

The Sant Samagam provided spiritual energy to devotees through devotional songs, kirtan, satsang and discourses, creating an atmosphere of peace and devotion.

Among those present on the occasion were  former Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Raghunath Singh Chauhan, former MLA Kailash Sharma, former Municipal Council President Prakash Chand Joshi, local coordinator Ram Prakash Nirankari, Kheem Singh Raikuni, along with a large number of devotees and followers.
