Bomb Disposal and Dog Squad Teams Collected Samples
Almora. On the evening of 20 November 2025, the Principal of Government Inter College (U.M.V.) Dabra informed Salt Police Station that children playing near the school had spotted some suspicious material in the nearby forest area. Acting promptly, the Salt Police Team reached the spot and secured the entire area as a precautionary measure.
During the search, the police recovered 161 gelatin sticks from the site.
On 21 November 2025, Bomb Disposal Squad and Dog Squad Teams were called to the location. The expert teams collected samples from the spot for further examination.
In connection with the incident, a case has been registered at Salt Police Station against unknown persons under relevant sections, and a detailed investigation is underway to determine who brought the gelatin sticks and for what purpose.
According to officials, gelatin sticks are commonly used in road construction work for breaking stones.
SSP Almora has appealed to the public not to pay attention to any rumors regarding the incident. He assured that the public will be informed as soon as any concrete facts emerge during the investigation.
