Almora. A meeting of the District Telecom Committee was held in the District Office Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Alok Kumar Pandey. The meeting focused on strengthening BSNL’s network in the district, ensuring effective implementation of various communication schemes, and providing better facilities to the people.
The District Magistrate directed BSNL officials to implement the communication schemes launched by the Government of India on the ground level and ensure quality services for the public. Issues such as the Invest Uttarakhand Portal, Bharat Net Project, and 4G Saturation were discussed in detail during the meeting.
E-District Manager informed that so far 256 applications have been received on the Invest Uttarakhand Portal, out of which 243 applications have been approved, 1 application rejected, and 12 applications returned.
Under the Bharat Net Project, a total of 218 Gram Panchayats of Hawalbagh and Takula blocks are being upgraded for connectivity. Work will also be carried out to provide internet connectivity in the remaining 9 development blocks.
The District Magistrate instructed concerned officials to ensure that all schemes are implemented with transparency and quality so that people can get access to reliable communication services.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate C.S. Martolia, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajeev Kumar Tamta, BSNL Assistant General Manager Rajendra Raina, Telecom Officer Harish Chandra Tiwari, E-District Manager Pawan Singh Khadai, along with other officials.
