On the occasion of the birthday of senior Indian National Congress leader and Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi, members of the Congress party in Almora carried out a humanitarian initiative at the District Hospital. Fruits and juices were distributed to the patients as a gesture of care and compassion.
The program was led by District President of Mahila Congress, Radha Bisht. She was joined by State Secretary Lata Tiwari, Youth Congress representative Kiran Arya, State Secretary Jai Joshi, District General Secretaries Tara Tiwari and Deepa Joshi, along with Femina Khan and other women workers of the party.
The Congress team visited different wards of the hospital, interacted with the patients, and inquired about their well-being. They also spoke with the attendants and took feedback regarding the hospital facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Radha Bisht said that Rahul Gandhi has always believed in the politics of service and compassion. “Carrying out such social activities on his birthday reflects the core values he stands for. Through this, we aim to reach out to people and spread his message of humanity and care,” she added.
The event was appreciated by both patients and hospital staff, as it brought a moment of relief and support to those in need.
