Mayor orders on-spot inspection and swift resolution within a week
Almora: Residents of Narmadeshwar Ward are facing serious difficulties due to a poorly constructed culvert (rapta) by the Municipal Corporation. The structure has become a source of inconvenience, especially during the rainy season, leading to slippery conditions and waterlogging.
Ward Councillor Asha Bisht submitted a memorandum to Municipal Mayor Ajay Verma, demanding immediate repair of the culvert. Taking swift cognizance of the issue, Mayor Verma directed concerned officials and the contractor to visit the site and take necessary action.
Following the Mayor’s directives, Councillor Asha Bisht, Junior Engineer Deepak Matyali, contractor Lal Singh Jalal, and fellow councillors Amit Sah (Monu) and Abhishek Joshi reached the site for a detailed inspection. After assessing the situation, the officials assured the public that the culvert problem would be resolved within a week.
During the visit, Councillor Asha Bisht also inspected equipment being installed for an Open Gym in the ward. She instructed workers and officials to maintain quality and adhere to the set deadlines. Councillor Bisht emphasized that the installation of the gym would enhance the beauty of the local park and provide a healthy recreational facility for youth in the area.
Present at the inspection were Councillors Amit Sah Monu, Abhishek Joshi, Junior Engineer Deepak Matyali, contractor Lal Singh Jalal, and several local residents. Together, they reaffirmed their commitment to the development of the ward and to ensuring the well-being and convenience of its citizens.
