Almora – As part of the ongoing “Let Us All Do Yoga” campaign, Soban Singh Jeena University’s Department of Yoga Science is organizing a free yoga camp from May 21 to June 21. The initiative aims to promote awareness about yoga and encourage a healthy lifestyle among the public.
Under this campaign, Pooja Bora, an M.A. student of Yoga Science at the university, conducted yoga sessions for several students residing in the Khatyari area of Almora. She guided the participants through various yoga postures, breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation techniques.
Pooja also explained the numerous physical and mental health benefits of practicing yoga regularly. She emphasized that consistent yoga practice can help in managing stress, obesity, fatigue, insomnia, and other common health issues.
In addition, she encouraged the students to incorporate yoga into their daily routines and highlighted the scientific aspects behind each practice. The participants expressed enthusiasm and shared positive feedback, stating that they felt more energized and motivated after attending the sessions.
The camp will continue until June 21, which marks International Yoga Day. Through this initiative, the university is not only spreading health awareness but also instilling the values of yoga among the youth and the community at large.
