Champawat – A joint meeting of the District Level Review Coordination Committee (DLRC) and District Consultative Committee (DCC) was held on Tuesday at the district office auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Navneet Pandey. The meeting saw in-depth discussions on key topics including Credit-Deposit (CD) ratio, loan disbursement, various government schemes, Non-Performing Assets (NPAs), financial literacy, the Skill Development Mission, and the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme.
The District Magistrate expressed concern that the district’s CD ratio stands at 37.42%, which is below the RBI-mandated minimum of 40%. He directed underperforming banks to accelerate loan disbursement and promptly improve their CD ratios.
All banks were instructed to ensure target-based loan disbursement under various schemes, including the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme, PM SVANidhi, Stand Up India, Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana, MUDRA Yojana, and the Solar Self-Employment Scheme. The DM emphasized that loan applications should not be unnecessarily delayed or rejected over minor errors.
Focus on Kisan Credit Cards (KCC)
The DM noted that 24,658 KCCs have been issued so far, but stressed the need to expand this number. He instructed banks to organize loan camps to provide KCC benefits to more eligible farmers.
Progress Under Various Schemes:
National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM): 1,636 loans disbursed against a target of 1,600
National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM): 39 approvals against a target of 18
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: 851 beneficiaries against a target of 790
Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana: 705 loans disbursed against a target of 700
CM Nano Self-Employment Scheme: 129 beneficiaries against a target of 300
CM Solar Self-Employment Scheme: 177 applications approved out of 230
Milk Cooperative CCC: 1,925 approved out of 2,367
Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Scheme: 7 loans disbursed out of 12
PM Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme: 33 approvals out of a target of 50
Emphasis on Jan Dhan Yojana and Outreach Campaigns
The DM instructed banks to conduct camps and promotional drives to maximize benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, encouraging collaboration with government departments and the RTO for extensive outreach.
